JFJ 20th Anniversary Celebration– re:Corona virus

Statement made 3/18/2020

In light of the evolving developments around the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), including confirmation of local cases in the southeast Michigan area, Jackets for Jobs will postpone its 20th anniversary celebration that was slated for Friday, April 24, 2020 @ MGM Grand Detroit.

Jackets for Jobs’ takes nothing more seriously than the safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers and supporters. Our goal is to take responsible action to ensure the safety of the many audiences Jackets for Jobs’ serves.

Special thanks to our sponsors,(TCF BANK, TJ MAXX, HAP, HENRY FORD HEALTH SYSYTEMS &  MICHIGAN OCULOFACIAL SPECIALISTS) & the speakers and planning team members for all of the hard work, time and effort that has gone into this event. When we do make this happen, it’s going to be amazing because we have awesome sponsors, staff and volunteers.

Thank you for understanding.

Sincerely,

Alison Vaughn, CEO

Clothing Donation – re:Corona virus

Statement made 3/23/2020

Many of you have reached out to see how you can help during this time and I want to thank you, so much, for your support.  As you may be using some time at home to clean out your closets, we ask that you please hold onto your clothing donations until we give the green light to donate them.  The most efficient and effective way to support our response efforts right now is by making a gift online if you are able (click here to give a gift online). Thank you in advance for your generosity as we move forward to weather this crisis with our clients.

We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the recommendations of the authorities and experts and look forward to re-opening our facility as soon as it is safe to do so.   The health and well-being of everyone in our Jackets for Jobs community remains paramount. In this time of uncertainty, we will do everything in our power to continue helping the men and women we serve, while also striving to keep everyone safe.

Sincerely,

Alison Vaughn, CEO
